We are very excited to advise St Joseph’s School, Kingswood will nominate teams for the annual South Australian Catholic Primary Schools Sports Association (SACPSSA) Athletics Carnival.

TEAM SELECTED (end of Term 3)

Term 4 Week 2 – Friday Lunch time – Kingswood Oval - Baton Relay practice and 800m practice

Term 4 Week 3 – Friday lunch time – Kingswood Oval – Baton Relay practice and  800m practice

Term 4 Week 4  – Monday 3rd November - Carnival Day

A reminder that the SACPSSA Athletics Carnival is open to students in Year levels 3 to 6 and events are run in year levels rather than age groups.

If your child is considering participation in this carnival they are invited to try out for their selected event. Trials are conducted to ensure that all students selected to participate have sufficient skills to compete in their chosen event.

  • All selected Year 3-6 students will compete on Monday 3rd November (week 4, Term 4) at SA Athletics Stadium, Mile End

Students will be required to wear full sports uniform, pack their lunch, recess, water and refreshments for the day. Please be aware of weather conditions and pack any necessary items accordingly. Students will be travelling to and from the SA Athletics Stadium by private bus. An events schedule will be provided once SACPSSA finalise the program for the day.

Your child’s inclusion in the SACPSSA Athletics Carnival requires a commitment from them to attend training sessions and support their team members.

Spectators may attend, we are also looking for two parent officials to assist. If you can assist, and have completed the Volunteer Process, please note your support below (for people who would like to volunteer but are yet to complete the process, you have ample time to do so if you start soon).

Regards,

Steven De Giovanniello (Physical Education Teacher & Sports Coordinator)
