End of Term Reflection

As we reach the end of another wonderful school term, I find myself reflecting on so many achievements, so many experiences, and so many gatherings that have brought our school community together. While it has been a term filled with hard work, it remains my favourite term of the year – there's something truly special about the energy and growth we witness during this time.

Sacramental Program Update

Our Sacramental Program candidates had their final workshop on Sunday, and what a journey it has been! We are all looking forward with great anticipation to the celebration of their First Holy Communion. The dedication and reverence these young people have shown throughout their preparation has been truly inspiring. Well done to all our candidates!

For families interested in the 2026 Sacramental Program, please watch this space for upcoming information and registration details.

Reflection on Our Time in Church

Throughout the year, and over the years, we have shared so many beautiful moments spent in God's House. Our weekly Monday gatherings continue to be a cornerstone of our school community – I love that our most regular school gathering is simply to come together in prayer. Week after week, I am filled with pride at the different iterations of prayer that our classes create and share. Prayer should be an expression of who we are, and we have certainly been achieving this authentic connection with our faith.

Our classes also attend Mass at 9:15am on Fridays, providing a wonderful opportunity to connect with Fr John and our broader parish community. This weekly tradition strengthens the bonds between our school and parish family. All families are warmly welcome to join us for Friday Mass at 9:15am.

Made In the Image of God Curriculum

As we look towards Term 4, you will receive letters about an important series of lessons exploring our Sexuality and Human Relationships Curriculum. The "Made In The Image Of God" (MITIOG) program is specially designed for Catholic school students from Reception to Year 12 here in South Australia.

This curriculum is beautifully grounded in our Catholic belief that every human being is made in God's image and likeness. It celebrates the Church's teaching about the dignity of each person, honouring every individual's worth and their right to experience respectful and healthy relationships.

What makes this program special is its inclusive approach – it acknowledges and respects the uniqueness of each person's inherent goodness. The curriculum ensures that education about human sexuality and respectful relationships is delivered in an age-appropriate and culturally sensitive way, always respecting each individual's right to make healthy and informed choices.

Our teachers are well-supported through comprehensive professional learning to deliver this important curriculum with care and expertise. Some elements of the program also connect with the Government's Keeping Safe Child Protection Curriculum and the national Health and PE curriculum.

We look forward to sharing more details with families as we approach Term 4.

I wish our community a restful break, and I look forward to a joy-filled Term 4.
