FROM THE DEPUTY

Hello everyone and welcome to Term 3.
I hope you all had a great break and got to enjoy the few days of sunshine in the second week of the holidays. We went away to Melrose and had a wonderful time riding our bikes and roasting marshmallows by the fire.
This term brings with it some excitement and caution. It’s exciting that we will shortly have a new playground and the updating of some of our classrooms and administration building will commence soon. We have also been able to relax some restrictions too as South Australia. But as we have seen in other states, we still need to remain cautious so that this continues. It would not be good if we had to put strict restrictions back in place. We are still working hard to make sure we meet all of the requirements suggested by our government and by Catholic Education SA. Thanks for being patient and understanding during this difficult time.
Last week I was fortunate enough to go to the netball carnival held at ETSA park. I was the coach of the Year 4 girls team. They did a fantastic job and represented their school with pride as did all of the other students who attended. It was great to see that all of the students were not boastful when winning and gracious in defeat. We also had great weather too.
I hope you have a great couple of weeks. The next time I write our school look very different. Hopefully our playground is finished and the children are enjoying playing on there and our new admin building will under way. My new office is in the old JOEYS/Playgroup room with lots of other members of the school admin and leadership team.
Take care,
Jamie
