FROM THE DEPUTY

Hello everyone, I hope you are all travelling well through Term 3. As discussed in my last note, the school is looking very different at the moment. Unfortunately, the playground is not quite finished but it is in the last stages of development and should be ready really soon. Our new admin building is well underway with windows being smashed out and walls being knocked down.
Last week the Adelaide Symphony Orchestra visited our school and performed 2 concerts for our junior and senior students. It was a great show that was entertaining and informative at the same time. I learnt a lot about different instruments and the sounds they make. The students thoroughly enjoyed the performance and it was a welcome break from the normal school day.
Last week I also managed to get down to the Knockout Netball carnival. When I got there Kingswood was down by quite a few goals. They fought back during the game and had a great last quarter to tie the game at the end. They then outscored the other team 5 to 1 in extra time, winning by 4. It was a great show of grit and determination and so wonderful to see their worn out faces at the end, happy that they hadn’t given up and had won the game. The students displayed wonderful sportsmanship and were humble in their victory.
I hope you all have a great couple of weeks. Phil and I are sharing an office in the old JOEYS/Playgroup room if you need anything.
Take care,
Jamie
