The highly anticipated ‘Big Day Out’ proved to be a success with our Year 3 students exploring the magnificent Victor Harbour. They experienced the splendour of God’s creation in all its splendour whilst taking in the spectacular surroundings. All of us will have taken positive memories and insights from this journey and will stay fresh in our minds. This fun excursion enabled our Year 3 students from both 3PM and 3/4C classes to interact and form stronger connections and friendships. At each location we had the opportunity to explore the attractions and majestic beauty of Victor Harbour, The Bluff, The Victor Harbour Heritage Trail/Heysen Trail, Victor Harbour’s new Nature Playground, fun and creative sand sculpturing and finalising the day with a shared pizza meal on Victor’s iconic parklands. These views were breathtaking and gave opportunity for us to be grateful as well as remember the simple things such as our senses and the ability for our legs to walk through life as well as face challenges. For our students, ‘The Big Day Out’ was born out of this initiative; to develop a great sense of gratitude in our lives. On the day our students were faced with opportunities to draw upon their inner resources to become more resilient. A great day was had by all and many positive comments made by our parent volunteers whom we would like to thank very much.
