FROM THE DEPUTY

Hi everyone and welcome to Week 3!
I hope you had a great holiday period and were able to spend some enjoyable moments with your children. We managed to get away for a bit to Marion Bay. This was a great spot to visit and we enjoyed exploring the local area on our bikes and visiting the rock pools at the Kangaroo Island lookout spot. If you haven’t been there, I highly recommend it.
Last week we held our annual Book Week parade. It was great to see our students all dressed up as a character from their favourite book. They especially loved showing off their creations and high fiving their school mates during the parade. The Year 6s also went above and beyond coordinating a dance to one of their favourite songs. I have to say the song was a little weird but their performance was heart-warming as they all sang and danced together.
In Week 7 this term we will hold our St Joseph’s Got Talent competition. Auditions will be in Week 6 during recess and lunch and we will have an audience come along and watch the children perform. Students have a few weeks now to prepare and get their acts ready. I have had many discussions and requests already and I know this is an occasion the students really enjoy. I am looking forward to seeing what they come up with.
Take care,
Jamie
