Term 2 after school/weekend sports
Thank you to everyone who has completed their SZapp forms and nominated for their child/ren to participate in school sports for term 2/3. If you haven't already, you will receive an email this week regarding coach, team members, training and game details. Please keep an eye in your inbox. Details will also be loaded into the Sports button on the SZapp home screen.
We currently have 3 teams playing Mini Volleyball (year 4-6) in term 1, and are excited to be able to participate in the Winter season (numbers pending). If your child would like to play, please complete the participation form ASAP, by Tuesday 9th April.
Catholic Schools Swimming Carnival 2019
Congratulations to the 22 students that competed at the Catholic Schools Swimming Carnival on Wednesday 13th March at Magill University Pool. After a winning the Carnival last year St Joseph’s moved up a section to the section 5 carnival which proved very competitive. The carnival was a culmination of 4 weeks early morning trials/training sessions at Mitcham Girls Pool. Congratulations to all the students that came along to the trials/training sessions.
St Joseph’s finished an overall second on the day which was an outstanding effort given we had just moved up a section. Special mention to Charlie Revell for receiving the individual age champion award and the year 3 participants for receiving the year 3 age champion pennant.
A big thank you to all the parents that assisted with timing at the training sessions and Mrs Karina Payze and Mr Bas Meys for helping to officiate at the carnival and Mrs Bridget Brown for her help with early morning training sessions and on the carnival day.
