SAPSASA Basketball – Year 5/6 knockout Tournament

Congratulations to the year 5/6 Basketball team on a fantastic effort in reaching the grand final on Tuesday 17th August at Wayville Basketball Stadium. The team comprised of students that have been playing together all year admirably coached by our wonderful and passionate coach, Damian Reemst. Special mention to Matthew Pipicelli for his help transporting and assisting with coaching on the day.

The team played 4 games in total on the day against Plympton, Walkerville and Flinders Park. The Grand Final was a very close match which could have gone either way, unfortunately, the team went down by a close 3 points.

Congratulations to the team and their outstanding effort on the day. The team consisted of the following players:

Cross Country Carnival (SACPSSA)– Change of Date – Wednesday 18th August (week 5)

On Wednesday 18th August,  24 students from year 3-6 participated in the Catholic Schools Cross Country Carnival at PAC Oval. All the students completed a 2km run through the parklands after several weeks of lunch time training sessions at Kingswood Oval. Thank you to Mrs Bridget Brown, Miss D’Angelo, Mrs Melissa Porcaro and Mrs Megan Phillips for their help on the day.

Our students had some outstanding results on the day with all students finishing in the top 50 out of approximately 150 runners. Special mention to the following students on their top 15 results:

Abbie Laundy -  9th – Year 4 Girls

Touch Football Carnival (SACPSSA)– Tuesday 31st August – (week 7) – REGISTRATION CLOSED

Registrations are now closed for the Touch Football Carnival. Thank you to all students and parents that have registered their interest and help on the day. We are still looking for extra helpers on the day, no Touch Football knowledge is necessary. If you can assist, please let Mr D know sdegiovanniello@stjk.catholic.edu.au

Athletics Carnival Postponed – Term 4, week 4 – Monday 1st November

Last Term the year 3-6 students participated in trails for the SACPSSA (Catholic Schools) Athletics Carnival which was due to be held this Term in week 4. The Carnival has now been postponed to Term 4 in week 4, Monday 1st November. The selected team will be announced later in the Term.
