RUOK? Last week marked Are You Ok? Day and I just wanted to touch base and let you know that as a school, we are here to support you, as well as your child. Sr Jasmine, our in-house school counselor, is here to support children and their families. Please, do not hesitate to reach out to us in times of need.
I would also like to extend my appreciation to all students, families, staff and community members for the support in the lead up to and on the day of the Opening Ceremony last week, It was a wonderful day during which we got to showcase our Identity as a Catholic School to so many stakeholders in the Education system both Catholic and State.
SACRAMENTAL PROGRAM:
Dear families of prospective candidates, please look out for a Seesaw message from me tomorrow, as well as from your class teachers with the application form for the 2021/2022 sacramental program. Please submit this form ASAP so that you can start getting information from the PARISH sacramental team. The front office staff also have hard copies, so please see them to attain one.
RE CURRICULUM
MITIOG: Sexuality strand. This section of our RE Curriculum is due to be taught in term 4. You will receive a letter from your class teachers outlining what will be covered and when in the coming weeks.
NEW CROSSWAYS: Our teachers have been busily designing and implementing the new RE curriculum that was launched in early 2021. The work being produced is of a very high standard and we are constantly training and striving to improve. The Performance and Achievement Standards have just been published for this curriculum and so, in the next term our teachers will be familiarizing themselves with these so that in 2022 we can roll these out as part of our assessment and grading.
