Children’s University: AKA ‘The University of FUN!’

Our students had an absolute blast last Wednesday night at their Children’s University Graduation Ceremony! Held at the prestigious University of Adelaide’s Bonython Hall, our students were full of excitement upon arrival and displayed such eagerness and enthusiasm to gown up in their graduating academic regalia and mortarboard. We sat patiently and listened to speeches from significant people and academics of University of Adelaide. It was such an honour for each student to receive an award from the Professor Susan James Relly (Head of School, School of Education, Faculty of Arts, Business, Law & Economics at The University of Adelaide), who greeted each student with energy and enthusiasm and her interaction with every student made each of them feel important and special; giving them a true sense of pride in their accomplishments and aspiration for their future endeavours. Along with a certificate, each student received a keepsake mortarboard 2023 tassel.

As CU coordinator, I have been impressed and so incredibly proud to witness a group of students so inquisitive and exceptionally passionate about being in charge of their own learning journey. They expressed such excitement to try new things throughout their Children’s University experience this year, which has given them skills to be risk takers and taking them out of their comfort zone.

Well done to everyone who participated in the program, I look forward to celebrating existing and new student’s to the program next year!
