FROM THE ACTING PRINCIPAL

Dear St Joseph’s School Community,
As we approach the end of October, I’d like to reflect on some wonderful events we’ve shared recently and provide a few updates for the weeks ahead.
Sacramental Program Celebration
This past Sunday, we concluded our Sacramental Program with a beautiful celebration of the Sacraments of Confirmation and First Communion. Our students, who had been preparing for months, demonstrated such reverence and joy. It was truly heartwarming to see each of them take these significant steps in their faith journey. A special thanks to our parish Sacramental Team and Fr John for guiding them along the way. Our thoughts and prayers remain with these students as they continue to grow in their faith and service.
Congratulations to:

Grandparents and Friends Day
Last Friday, we had the pleasure of hosting Grandparents and Friends Day. The children’s performances were thoughtful, sometimes humorous, but always filled with love and excitement. Events like these remind us how important it is to bring the community together on school grounds, allowing children to share their learning and creativity with those they hold dear. A heartfelt thank you to everyone who attended, to our amazing staff and to all the volunteers for organizing such a special day. Your presence and support mean the world to us.
World Teacher’s Day
At St Joseph’s, we are deeply blessed to have a team of dedicated educators, not only teachers but also education support staff, office personnel, and everyone who plays a role in our students’ lives. Each person is committed to creating a nurturing, supportive environment where every child can flourish. Celebrating World Teacher’s Day was a wonderful reminder of the passion and energy that our staff brings to our school each day. It is their hard work, dedication, and commitment that truly make St Joseph’s a place of learning, faith, and community.
Children’s Week
Last week, amongst the many other celebrations, we also celebrated National Children’s Week. It was a time to celebrate our young people, their achievements, and their sense of wonder. To make this week extra special, we handed out Zooper Doopers on Friday—a small treat that brought big smiles! It’s always a joy to celebrate the unique and diverse contributions of children within our school. We hope to continue fostering an environment where every child feels valued and encouraged to explore, learn, and grow.

A Final Note from the Acting Principal
As I write this, I’m entering my last few days as Acting Principal. I want to express my gratitude to each of you for your support and kind words of encouragement throughout my time in this role. It has been a true pleasure and honour to serve our wonderful St Joseph’s community. I’d also like to extend a warm thank you to Jodie for trusting me with this responsibility and for allowing me this opportunity. We are all looking forward to welcoming Jodie back, and I’m sure she’ll have plenty of wonderful stories to share from her time away.
Thank you all for your continued partnership in making St Joseph’s School such a wonderful place for our children to learn and grow.
Warm regards,
Christine Farrugia
