FROM THE APRIM

Dear families,

St Joseph's Day with Harmony: A Perfect Match

What a wonderful celebration we had combining St Joseph's Day and Harmony Day! Our school was transformed into a vibrant sea of orange with many students and staff proudly wearing their traditional cultural attire, sparking meaningful conversations about our diverse community.

The day perfectly embodied our school motto "In all things, Charity," reminding us that charity is love in action. Our school values of Connection, Gratitude and Excellence were on full display throughout the celebrations.

During Mass, we were blessed to have Sister Elizabeth Morris, a Josephite Sister, join us as Father John spoke about St. Joseph, our patron saint, and the Mission of the Sisters of St. Joseph.

One of the most touching moments was hearing the Prayers of the Faithful offered in multiple languages—English, Auslan, Italian, Slovenian, Lebanese, Maltese and German—as we prayed for harmony among all nations of the world.

Waste System Update and Tips

Our new school waste management system continues to progress well, with both successes and valuable learning opportunities. To further our environmental education efforts, be on the lookout for our "BINSPECTOR" who will visit classrooms this week to check bins and provide guidance to students.

Tip for Home: Help us reduce waste by using reusable containers for school lunches instead of single-use packaging. This simple step can significantly decrease the amount of waste our school produces while teaching our children about environmental responsibility.

Project Compassion

We encourage all families to continue supporting Project Compassion during this Lenten season. Your contributions make a meaningful difference to those in need.

Caritas Lenten Prayer

God of our journey
we are all pilgrims of hope
brought together by your love
and your wish that we may all be one.
We pray that in this Year of Jubilee
when we are called to greater justice
and care for our common home
that we may Unite Against Poverty.
May we work in unity for the freedom of the oppressed
and the renewal of creation.
May our compassionate minds and generous hearts
help bring about a world where all can live in peace.
May our Lenten pilgrimage of fasting, almsgiving and prayer
bring us closer to your loving heart.
We ask this in the name of Jesus.
Amen

Important reminder: Project Compassion Boxes will be collected in Week 11.
